An emblematic site, an idyllic setting, a summer of culture!
This year too, we had the pleasure of participating in the 7th Dodoni Festival, which took us on a journey with unique cultural events, from the 28th of July until the 8th of August. Theatrical shows and musical nights by international and domestic artists were hosted at the iconic archaeological site of the Dodoni Theater, at the Acheron springs and at lake Virou.
The verdant landscape of Epirus was the ideal setting for festival visitors, further highlighting the importance of the region as a tourist destination.
The festival began with the concert of the beloved Serbian music composer Goran Bregovic, who blew us away with Balkan sounds along the company of the Wedding and Funeral Band, at the Ancient Theater of Dodoni. The concert was followed by the live performances of Anastasia Moutsatou, Alex Sid and Yiannis Vasilotou with favorite songs from the television series “Wild Bees”, the traditional songs of Kostas Tzimas and Dimitris Ifantis.
In the Ancient Theater of Dodoni, plays of antiquity were also revived, such as the much discussed “Wasps”, “Troads” by Euripides and Sophocles’ “Oedipus the Tyrant”.
The support of important cultural events and initiatives is of a high priority for our company, as it contributes to the upgrade of the local product, the cultivation of cultura and the dedication to art.
The Dodoni Festival is organized by the Municipality of Dodoni and the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Dodoni, under the auspices and sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
